Stopped at Schnucks after work today

Today was the last day of their sale for this ad. . . They had lots of 10 for $10 sales.

I got:

18 oz. store brand oatmeal
4 oz. frozen clam strips x 3
1 lb. baby carrots
1 package celery
Oscar Meyer bologna
Oscar Meyer salami
head lettuce
Land O Lakes soft tub butter

plotting my menus for this week and next.

So. . . .

I agreed to the food stamp challenge, without consulting my family first. *blush* Fortunately, they are pretty good about stuff like this. . . my dd however, is convinced she will starve!

Sure hope there are lots of deals on her favorite things in the next couple of weeks.

Thinking of the food stamp challenge already

taking a sneak peak at a couple of the food ads online for next week (figure I'll be purchasing most of the foods for 19-25, sometime next week).

been perusing my old cookbooks for frugal recipes, and generally just thinking about what we'll do.

Feeding Illinois Hunger challenge

http://www.feedingillinois.org/challenge/

My family is going to do this challenge. We don't generally spend more that the allotted amount anyway, but it will be interesting to actually track it all.
